Upper Egypt’s Tech Heroes: Apex Takes on the AIO

The Arab Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (AIO) is a group of competitions in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, representing a platform for Arab youth of all age groups to apply 21st-century sciences and skills. It aims to create a generation of creative and inspiring Arab youth to keep pace with technological leaps in various fields of modern sciences. It aims also to create a competitive environment among different youth groups at the school and university levels to help them innovate and excel through sharing creative ideas and diverse experiences among participants and applying them in a practical, competitive manner.

This year, we were pleased to participate in the second round of the 3rd local edition of the Olympiad in Egypt (AIO 2026) – Upper Egypt Governorates Edition. It was held on April 18 under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Alamein International University, the Arab Robotics Association, the Robotics Technology and Gifted Care Association, the STEAM Center, and TechnoStem.

 It was hosted honorably by Luxor National University, which presented an exemplary model of integration and coordination among the state, universities, and civil society organizations to empower a new generation of innovators.
