The Afro-Asian Forum is the 1st African Event in innovation and technology gathered children and youth aged 6 to 25 years. The Afro-Asian Competition began in 2019 in Egypt. It was affiliated with the African Confederation for Innovation and Technology, and its first activities were in Upper Egypt, Luxor Governorate, at the end of 2020. This forum deals with technology competitions that gather youths and students annually to develop problem-solving skills and creativity in a fast-paced environment. It promotes the learning of STEAM, and digital skills, and fosters multicultural friendships and life skills for an unparalleled learning experience. And also, prepare our youth to build a new Africa with technology, industrial automation, and smart cities. This forum also aims to achieve Africa’s Vision 2030 in sustainability.
This year the Afro-Asian Programming Competition was in Egypt under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Canadian Academy for Science. It was this year in two stages. The first includes the Upper Egypt on February 17 at Asyut University, and the second includes Cairo, the Delta, and the Canal on February 23-24 in Cairo. The Competitions were at several levels so that each child could find a level suitable for his skills, whether in the Electronic Game design competition or the Mobile applications hackathon.
