The Afro-Asian Forum is the 1st African Event in innovation and technology gathered both children and youth aged 6 to 25 years. It deals with technology competitions that gather youths and students annually to develop problem-solving skills and creativity in a fast-paced environment. It promotes the learning of STEAM, and digital skills, and fosters multicultural friendships and life skills for an unparalleled learning experience. And also, prepare our youth to build a new Africa with technology, industrial automation, and smart cities. This forum aims also to achieve Africa’s Vision 2030 in sustainability.
This year the Afro-Asian Programming Competition will be held in Egypt under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Canadian Academy for Science. It will be held this year in two stages, the first includes the Upper Egypt on February 17 at Assiut University, and the second includes Cairo, the Delta, and the Canal on February 23-24 in Cairo. The Competitions are held at several levels so that each child can find a level suitable for his skills, whether in the Electronic Game design competition or the Mobile applications hackathon. The International events for all competitions will be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, except for the mobile applications hackathon, which will be held in Poland.
In 2021, we were pleased to participate in the African Forum for Innovation and Technology “Track Mobile Application Programming” competition at the local and African levels, which is held within the framework of partnership and exchange of experiences between STEM schools and TechnoSpace Academy. This competition was for students where they make innovative projects to use Mobile Applications in Sustainable Development. We were proud that Apex gained 3 prizes at the local level and 2 prizes at the level of the African continent.
